Plan
The plan for this project was to create a unique hotel designed specifically to cater to explorers and adventurers.
I began this project by deciding what kind of hotel I wanted to create. I landed on a hotel made for the explorers when my parents sold our New Hampshire condo in late 2022. We spent as much time in season (sometimes even out of season) up there as we could with everyone’s schedules. In the end it became too expensive to take care of while not being there full time. Plus during the time my parents owned that house they also owned two others; my childhood house (which we moved out of when I graduated high school) and my soon to be new home that my parents always wanted to buy after they retired. In a way I used this project as an excuse to hold on to some of the memories I had at that house. That is how I decided that this would be The Explorer, a hotel for the outdoorsy and active… the explorers.
